The most difficult part of being a writer is finding the time to write. If one wants to be a writer, then one has to write. If one does not write, then how can one be a writer? If possible, it is a good idea to set aside 30 minutes a day in which to focus upon writing.

For many people, that can be a rather challenging assignment particularly with all the demands of daily living that we need to deal with each day. It always seems like something comes up, and then something else happens, and before we know it, the day has slipped through our fingers.

I read an article once that said that many writers find the Internet to be so distracting that they work on a computer that has been Internet disabled. Many people find that they can’t resist the temptation to check their e-mail, or watch videos online.

Many writers even use software to block their access to the Internet so they can be absolutely certain to have a productive period of time when they will be able to write without distraction. All they need to do is set the amount of time that they need to work, and for that amount of time they will not be able access the Internet.

I have not yet purchased this software myself, but I am definitely thinking about it!
