A pair of Peregrine Falcons are nesting on the third floor of the Evanston Public Library. This morning I went to see the baby is being banded. There are four falcon chicks. If I remember correctly, there are three males, and one female. Bands were put on their legs for identification, and some blood was drawn. This was done in a place where the public could observe. There was a large group of people. Most of them were children from nearby schools.

The pair of Falcons are the same pair that have nested there for the last seven years. There is an Evanston Public Library falcon cam. If you click on the link below, you will be taken to a page where you will be able to observe the falcons live.
