It used to be my favorite show

He always beat the bad guy

He triumphed over evil

Inner peace always defeated chaos

It always ended with a moral

A key to the path of righteousness

A light to the road of solitude

I always wanted to be like him

Today they found him in a hotel room

He was hanging by his neck in a closet

Naked, he was found by the maid

Once he was a big star

In the twilight of  his years

Perhaps that wasn’t enough

It’s tough to be a has-been

But that’s more than most can say

Life is not about the destination

It’s how you get there  that counts

That’s what the show was all about

He never learned that lesson

I guess that’s why they call it acting
